This was shot in the final minutes of an extraordinarily vivid sunset viewed from Plainsboro, NJ. While I boosted color and saturated a bit, and increased contrast, this sunset on September 7 seemed like something out of the Big Bang. I left in the silhouetted trees at left to anchor the image. I left in the grain as using Gaussian blur cleared it up but I thought the image lost something without the sharpness.

Steven Richman is an attorney practicing in New Jersey. He has lectured before photography clubs on various topics, including the legal rights of photographers. His photography has been exhibited in museums, is in private collections, and is also represented in the permanent collection of the New Jersey State Museum.
