Really, really, really nice work.

Very pleasing color scheme, almost mathematical but painterly compostion, exceptional clarity and focus. Something about the pose makes me feel as if he is sitting among giant chess board game pieces. Excellent capture on the pose - love the angle and that he is reading. I love how the gray of his sweater is an accent so similar to the gray of the ornate lamp post or column to his left. The book or booklet he is reading is open at a perfect angle and the dark of the entrance way contrasts the white paper and highlights the shape of the pages. The tilt of his head matches both the angle of the column base in front of him and the angle of the pages. With the ledge or low wall accross the bottom forming a horizontal line two thirds down, the forground and background above that alternate between light and dark. The negative space / gray shadow between columns directly behind the reader forms its own shape, like a goblet, which balances well with the gray color of the ornate lampost on the left.

Nice composition - all that stone and iron surrounding a frail human being. Powerful. (Do you have a B&W version?) V and featured in Street Photography.
