Just looked at it again and saw Vivian's commnent! Just checked out Vivian's work, intrigued by her comment and icon image - some really great work!!! Sometimes find the best artists by clicking on other artists who leave comments!

Incredible refinement in the image, it seems almost more a photorealistic painting than photograph.

The pristine composition and color palette evoke David Hockney's cleaner acrylic works, such as "A Bigger Splash" and "Two Deck Chairs".

So many intricate things happening with rectangles within rectangles . . . the edges of the windows below, the triptych of blank turquoise windows to the right of the canvas! The horizontal steps of pale aqua above the upper walls ... the three white edged squares of the balcony railing, the mustard yellow of the lower wall contrasted with the flawless flat yet luminous of pale robin's egg sky, the teacup like silver form of the equipment on the roof - all seem to belong so solidly.

Such a painterly composition, clean lines and planes almost flattened in perfection - the colors and lines fascinating - even the negative space forms interesting shapes. Highlights and shadows in crisp perfection.
